circa 1993' click to listen to all of our music Not so Long Ago, and in a galaxy not so far away, this band TIN CAN JETS exploded onto the Central Florida music scene. Hailing from the "Space Coast", the bands name was actually the nickname pioneer astronauts had for their prototype-X aircraft which evolved into the space program.

In the fall of 94', Melbourne Original Musicians, MOM, feature the jets on their MOM-2 compilation disc. By the end of the year, the band wins a slot on WDIZ's "Best Florida Bands"compilation CD.

By 1995, the jets make their first trip to "Planet Pluto", where they record
"Witch One Am i"clic for sound clips  by the end of the year, this CD too was sold out!

The new year came, Rev took his official "Reverend Richard Tater Leave Of Absence". We enlisted the services of "Ginger" a guitar player who Elvis noticed from another band. Moose, the man whose 1" thick drum sticks were broken several times a night, decided to move on to his own project . Long time friend/ engineer Roxy Brazel stepped up to the drum kit. Roxy, Ginger, Josephine, C and Elvis

In May of 96' the band made another trip to "Planet Pluto", where they recorded clic for sound clips"Sketches From A Tangled Mind" . By June, BEST BUY stores announce that the CD is a #1 seller in their WJRR Approved/ Independent Band category, and "Ginger" resigned ... citing ir reconcilable differences! He went on to front several bands.

September 1996, the bands first big break comes. Out of over 11,000 bands who entered, Ticketmaster, ASCAP & Musician Magazine selects Tin Can Jets as one of only 12 bands from Fla. to perform in the 1996 Ticketmaster National Showcase.Truly an honor!

In November of 96', Tin Can Jets were featured on yet another compilation disc, this time for Hardknocks Records, and by June of 97' that song "Friday Is A Good Day" off the CD is picked up by MTV and Sony for the RODMAN WORLD TOUR VIDEO, w/ Jenny McCarthy.

Coral Castle-Homestead Fl. Then the Winter of 97, things really started to blow up, "Sketches" and our previous release "Witch One Am i" had made play lists (click highlighted area to see lists) in EUROPE via the ALPHABEAT show, which is broadcast on dozens radio stations!!! New Rock 98, another compilation disc with our stuff on it also found attentive ears in Europe, as Heroes Get Old made their play lists in 1998. We also enlisted the help of Jack Lathrop, whom had taken the reigns of the band and showed un dying enthusiasm for our music and potential. Jack also booked us with several shows with killer bands including BADFINGER.

The time seemed to fly through 1999, "MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED AND FIND LIFE OUTSIDE BREVARD COUNTY", thats what Florida Today printed about the band in February 99', after the results from their reader poll. We also got on another compilation disc, "Unsigned 99", along with quite a few more big shows, which included a slot in the Orlando stop of the Warped Tour 99 concert series!

The last year in the millennium also has meant for some growing pains for the band, for a quick in out we picked up ED BEAU on guitar, who left the band to pursue his own separate project. Longtime drummer, behind the scene engineer and friend Roxy Brazel, took his own official Richard Tater leave of absence and so The Beeb had to be flown in for a few months to fill in, we also got some help from Divine, as a hired gun on guitar.
